As the name suggests, this flange slips over the pipe. It is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the pipe and is secured with fillet welds at both the inside and outside of the flange.
Weld Neck Flange features a long, tapered hub that is butt-welded to the pipe. The bore of the flange matches the bore of the pipe, reducing turbulence and erosion.
Similar to a slip-on flange, but it has a "socket" or a recessed shoulder inside. The pipe is inserted into the socket and then fillet-welded around the top.
No welding required. These flanges have internal threads that match the external threads on the pipe.
This is a two-piece assembly consisting of a stub end (which is butt-welded to the pipe) and a backing flange that slips over it.
A blind flange is essentially a solid disc with bolt holes but no center opening. It acts like a "cap" for a pipe.
